Can I install an HDTV Antenna in my attic?
Yes, but building materials may cut as much as 50 percent of the signal. Metallic materials including foil-backed insulation, will reflect and block signals from your antenna. To install, you can attach a roof-type mast pole to a crossbrace that's attached to your rafters. Attach the antenna to the bottom of the mast pole, but make sure the antenna still remains in its normal right-side-up position. Also, make sure the antenna does not touch the floor. Q: What is 1080p?
A: 1080p is also referred to as "Full HD" and "Ultra HD". It's currently the highest image resolution HDTV signal available in the consumer market. It stands for 1920 pixels by 1080 horizontal lines across your TV screen displayed in a single pass, 60 times per second (i.e. progressive scan). 1080p content is available on Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs and requires an HDMI connection. |
