HD Disc War - Finale: The rivalry for the next generation High-Definition DVD Player format has come to an end! On Feb. 19, 2008 Toshiba concedes defeat and hands the victory to Blu-ray. Toshiba will continue to provide support for the estimated 1 million people who own HD DVD players. Separately, Microsoft has announced that it will stop making HD DVD players for its Xbox 360. There's nearly 1,000 HD DVD titles available for those who were early adapters. Sony has announced 2 new Blu-ray players coming out this summer with BD-Live support and ethernet ports. |
