Q: Should I use a white or gray video screen? A: It all depends on your viewing room. If you have a room that has some direct light (i.e. windows) or some ambient light (i.e. reflections from walls and objects), then you can boost the image contrast by using a gray High Contrast screen. Gray screens work best with high (lumen) output video projectors to keep the whites bright, while the gray screen absorbs ambient light and keeps the blacks dark. For more information...
