Panasonic: intros the PT-AE3000 3-LCD Video Projector with 1080p, 120 Hz processing and 60,000:1 contrast ratio. Samsung: shows new LED LCDs with "local dimming". Sony Home Share HD: Video over Cat5 cable. Sony also intros CP1 wireless digital photo frame under the Vaio brand. TiVo: intros the Tivo HD XL - THX Certified and can store 150 hours of HD. DVDO: intros Edge Video Scaler which can upscale any source up to 1080p and output via HDMI. AMX: intros Wall-Mounted Removable Remotes. Oppo: debuts prototype Blu-ray Disc player, the BDP-83 with BD-Live. Universal Remote: intros MX-6000 RF with dual RF transmitters-802.11b/g WiFi for network control, plus narrow band RF. Dolby Contrast: Uses LEDs to backlight the screen for brighter screens and darker blacks. Also more energy efficient. Silver screen surfaces are more reflective (i.e. brighter), reject more ambient light & provide an ideal surface for stereoscopic 3D polarized projection systems. 3D projection generally requires 2 projectors playing images shot via 2 cameras. Polarized glasses are required. Da-Lite's 3D Virtual Grey is a new fabric that retains 99 percent of polarized light and virtually eliminates ghosting. 3D Virtual Black is a new 3D rear-screen projection fabric.
