The Lacrosse-A includes an ultra-low noise 17 dB pre-amplifier built-in. It is one of the strongest multi-directional antennas available and performs consistently across the entire UHF spectrum (channels 14-69). It even works well in areas where HD transmitters are in multiple directions.

Power for the amplified version comes from the supplied external power inserter (see diagram below). The power inserter supplies 18-volts to the antenna via regular coax cable. The power inserter should be plugged into a surge suppressor (not included).

Note:
The range of an antenna will vary greatly depending on many factors including the height of the mount, topography, material surroundings, direction, etc. Even with high gain or a pre-amp, an antenna cannot pick up signals that are blocked.
