Da-Mat

Our most popular screen fabric! A smooth, white, vinyl finish surface for precise image reproduction. Provides an exceptionally wide angle of view with little loss of resolution. It is a highly flexible unsupported vinyl fabric and may be folded or rolled.
Viewing Half-Angle: 60°
Gain: 1.0

 

High Contrast Da-Mat
A smooth, gray, vinyl finish surface for high output LCD and DLP projectors. This surface improves the perceived contrast by lowering black levels. It is a flexible unsupported vinyl fabric and may be folded or rolled. Available on all models offered with the Da-Mat surface.

Pearlescent
This surface utilizes an unsupported vinyl creating a very smooth Pearlescent coating that provides high reflectivity and brilliance without loss of image quality or resolution.

Cinema Vision
A unique unsupported vinyl surface that offers a bright, uniform image with no color shift no matter at what angle you view the image.

High Contrast Cinema Vision
A smooth, gray, vinyl finish surface for moderate output DLP projectors. This surface improves the perceived contrast by lowering black levels while offering moderate gain. It is a flexible unsupported vinyl fabric and may be folded or rolled. Available on all models offered with the Cinema Vision surface.

Audio Vision
Designed for applications where a more realistic soundstage is desired, this fabric allows for the installation of speakers to be placed behind the surface. With virtually no sound loss and good image quality, this fabric provides the same optical characteristics as the Da-Mat surface with specially designed perforations to allow sound to pass through the screen material.

High Contrast Audio Vision
With the same optical characteristics as the High Contrast Da-Mat material, this surface is designed to provide the viewer with a more realistic soundstage by placing speakers behind the screen and allowing the sound to be transmitted through the material. This screen surface is best used when there is good control of ambient lighting and a moderately wide Viewing Half-Angle is desired.

High Contrast Cinema Perf
With the same optical characteristics as High Contrast Cinema Vision, this surface is perforated to allow placement of a center channel speaker behind the screen surface while allowing the sound to transmit through the material. Ideal for use in environments with moderate control of ambient light.

Silver Vision (discontinued)
This screen surface is uniquely designed with a specially formulated silver finish. This surface is perfect for situations where a silver finish is necessary for polarized 3-D projection. The silver finish of this surface successfully rejects ambient light. It is a highly flexible fabric that must be tensioned.

3D Virtual Grey
Designed specifically for 3D front projection systems, 3D Virtual Grey is a flexible vinyl projection fabric that retains 99 percent of polarized light. Other characteristics include the ability to maintain high extinction values, virtually eliminate ghosting or crosstalk common with stereoscopic 3D projection and excellent image contrast. 3D Virtual Grey also features Da-Lite's exclusive black backing which minimizes image "bleed through." 3D Virtual Grey is a high contrast gray material that outperforms any other 3D silver fabric.

3D Virtual Black™
3D Virtual Black projection screen material is designed exclusively for 3D rear screen applications. Specifically designed and dedicated as the first rear screen 3D projection fabric in the industry, 3D Virtual Black features breakthrough polarization preserving properties, and effectively eliminates stereoscopic cross talk or "ghosting" by maintaining 99 percent polarization purity, an industry first for 3D projection. Up to 16-foot height and it easily folds for transportation, making it perfect for traveling or rental applications.

Ultra Wide Angle
Flexible Fabric Screen: Ultra Wide Angle is a flexible rear projection fabric formulated for applications where exceptionally wide viewing angles are desired and ambient light is controlled. Based on its ability to diffuse light uniformly, Ultra Wide Angle fabric is ideal for installations utilizing multiple projection edge blending or wide format screens with short focal length projection lenses. By virtue of its characteristics, Ultra Wide Angle fabric dramatically reduces the potential of hot spotting.

Da-Tex™
Flexible Fabric Screen: A translucent, neutral gray vinyl fabric that allows rear projection in applications where a rigid acrylic or glass screen are not possible. This specially designed gray vinyl surface offers the same high transmission and low reflectance values as a rigid rear projection screen for optimal viewing. It yields excellent color rendition, image contrast and a moderately wide Viewing Half-Angle. Ideally suited for both lace and grommet and snap button type screens used in portable installations. This material requires tensioning due to its flexible nature.

High Contrast Da-Tex™
Flexible Fabric Screen: High Contrast Da-Tex is a unity gain rear projection surface with a specially designed dark gray tint and is formulated to provide lower black levels for today's high output projectors. This surface features optical characteristics similar to rigid rear projection screens. Ideally suited for both lace and grommet and snap button screens used in portable applications. Surface requires tensioning due to its flexible nature.

Dual Vision
Flexible Fabric Screen: A unity gain flexible projection fabric capable of both front and rear projection. The surface is ideal for video projection under controlled light conditions. With an exceptionally wide viewing cone, each seat in the audience will observe a uniform, bright, sharp image with no color shift. Surface needs to be tensioned.

HD Progressive 0.9
A Black-Backed Flexible Fabric Screen. A JKP endorsed projection screen material, HD Progressive 0.9 is formulated to produce true color and white field uniformity. With a 0.9 gain and an extraordinarily wide half angle of 85 degrees, this screen fabric offers excellent depth of modulation for even the most demanding high definition projection devices.

HD Progressive 1.1
A Black-Backed Flexible Fabric Screen that is thicker than the other 2 HD Pro fabrics. HD Progressive 1.1 is ideal for applications that require a small increase in gain due to screen size and projector brightness. This white surface produces true color and white field uniformity while offering excellent depth of modulation. With a generous half angle of 85°, HD Progressive 1.1 is an excellent choice for large audiences. Endorsed by Joe Kane Productions, HD Progressive 1.1 was formulated for high resolution projectors.

Matte White
One of the most versatile screen surfaces and a good choice for situations when presentation material is being projected and ambient light is controllable. Its surface evenly distributes light over a wide viewing area. Colors remain bright and life-like, with no shifts in hue.

High Contrast Matte White
Designed for moderate output DLP and LCD projectors. This screen surface is a great choice when video images are the main source of information being projected and where ambient light is moderately controlled. With its specially designed gray base material and reflective top surface, this screen material is able to provide very good black levels without sacrificing the white level output.

Video Spectra 1.5
This screen surface is specially designed with a reflective coating, which provides an increased amount of brightness with a moderately reduced viewing angle. The increased gain of this surface makes it suitable for environments where ambient lighting is uncontrollable and a projector with moderate light output is utilized.

Silver Lite 2.5
A multi-purpose front projection surface that is optimized for passive linear and circular 3D applications and is also an excellent 2D screen material. For passive 3D applications, the silver surface maintains 99.3% of polarized light and the 2.5 gain of the material compensates for the light lost in the polarization filtering process. The polarization retention and high extinction ratio eliminate the ghosting or crosstalk common with stereoscopic 3D projection. For 2D projection, the gain and high contrast characteristics of the material make it perfect for projection in high ambient light conditions or for use with a low output projector.

Silver Matte
A uniquely designed screen surface with a specifically designed silver finish. This surface is perfect for situations where a silver surface is necessary for a polarized 3-D projection. The matte finish of this surface successfully rejects ambient light.

High Power
A technological breakthrough, providing the reflectivity and optical characteristics of a traditional glass beaded surface with the ability to clean the surface when necessary. Its smooth textured surface provides the highest gain of all front projection screen surfaces with no resolution loss. The moderate viewing angle and its ability to reflect light back along the projection axis (i.e. retro-reflective) make this surface the best choice for situations where there is a moderate amount of ambient light and the projector is placed on a table-top or in the same horizontal viewing plane as the audience.

High Contrast High Power
This revolutionary screen surface provides a unique combination of high gain along with contrast enhancement due to its grey base and highly reflective top surface. The result is a screen surface with moderate viewing angles and the ability to reflect light back towards the source. These characteristics make this surface an excellent choice for environments with a moderate amount of ambient light and a projector which is placed on a table top or in the same horizontal viewing plane as the audience.

Wide Power
A Da-Lite exclusive fiberglass-based screen fabric for select portable screens and tripod screens that is easy to clean the surface when necessary. The increased gain of this surface makes it suitable for environments where ambient lighting is difficult to control. The moderate viewing angle and its ability to reflect light back along the projection axis make this surface the best choice for indoor presentations with portable equipment.
